Supporting job creation in local communities in a sustainable and future-oriented way, ensuring fair energy transition

ENTAMA is a program created to boost local entrepreneurship and support sustainable development in the communities where EDP operates.

Since 2019, the initiative has been funding and supporting projects from entrepreneurs who promote innovation, job creation, and the enhancement of local resources, helping to fight depopulation and strengthen the rural economy.

More than a financial support program, ENTAMA is a community that believes in the power of local ideas to create positive impact.

Through partnerships, mentoring, and investment in projects that drive local employment, the program fosters sustainable businesses, promotes equality and inclusion, and reinforces EDP’s commitment to a just energy transition and the future of the regions where it operates.

More than just financial support, Entama represents, for us, recognition of the social, cultural, and environmental significance of an initiative that stems from the local community, its knowledge, and its people (...) this support is essential (...) as it enables us to train people and create the conditions for local job creation, with a special focus on women in rural areas and the long-term unemployed

New call for applications in 2027

Being part of the ENTAMA program has been a huge source of motivation for Palacio&Río. Beyond the financial support, it confirms that promoting our region’s cuisine is essential for the economic development of Asturias. Thanks to EDP’s trust, I will be able to continue connecting projects—many of them in rural areas—to national promotional platforms, demonstrating that, no matter where you are, it’s possible to bring visibility to chefs, producers, and artisans who deserve to be recognized.
