EDPR JAPAN, formerly known as RE CAPITAL K.K., was established in 2014.

Today, EDP Renewables Japan (EDPR Japan) is part of EDP Renewables APAC, a leading clean energy hub for the region, with business focus on Ground-mounted grid-connected solar energy systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Onshore wind energy systems.

We're strengthening our foundation with a secured pipeline of 163 MWp and are progressing toward our green ambition, with even more opportunities on the horizon.

EDP Renewables (EDPR), a global leader in renewables, is expanding its presence in Japan, starting with a 44 MWp solar farm in Fukushima. This is part of EDPR’s 2024–2026 Business Plan comprising a €12 billion investment strategy in renewables.
