The Portuguese Energy Services Regulatory Authority ("ERSE") made public the final document regarding the "Tariffs and prices for electricity and other services for 2014" in Portugal, which set a 2.8% average increase of final normal low voltage (NLV) electricity tariffs in Portugal mainland for 2014.

Within the scope of the Brazilian A-5 auction carried out today by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), EDP Group was awarded the following renewable energy generation projects.

On December 23, 2013, Massachusetts Financial Services Company ("MFS") notified EDP regarding the decrease of a qualifying holding of 2.15% to 1.996% of the EDP share capital.

Fitch Ratings has maintained EDP and EDP Finance B.V.'s "BBB-" Long-term Issuer Default Ratings ("IDR") and senior unsecured ratings and "F3" Short-term IDR on Rating Watch Negative ("RWN"). Fitch has also maintained Hidroelectrica del Cantabrico, S.A.'s "BBB-" Long-term IDR and "F3" Short term IDR on RWN.

In December 2004, within the scope of the acquisition of a 56.2% stake of Hidroeléctrica Del Cantábrico S.A. ("HC"), EDP established with Cajastur - Caja de Ahorros de Asturias ("Cajastur"), currently Liberbank S.A. ("Liberbank"), a shareholders' agreement that included a put option for Liberbank on its remaining 3.13% stake in HC, to be exercised until December 31st, 2025, for a price indexed to the value of EDP shares.

EDP Serviço Universal, S.A., the last resort supplier of the Portuguese electric system, 100% owned by EDP Group, agreed today the sale of a portion of EUR 150 million, and the respective interests, of the 2012 tariff deficit.

EDP – Energias do Brasil ("EDP Brasil"), EDP Group's subsidiary for the Brazilian electricity market, listed in São Paulo Stock Exchange and 51.0% owned by EDP, announced today that the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) granted, the Porto de Pecém I thermal plant (a 50%/50% partnership between EDP Brasil and MPX Energia, S.A.), the permission to begin the commercial operation of the second group, with 360 MW of installed capacity.

EDP installed capacity reached 22.4GW in Mar-13. Total generation output advanced by 11% in 1Q13, driven by new capacity additions and strong wind and hydro resources in Iberia. Hydro and wind output accounted for 75% of 1Q13 output.  Capacity additions over the last 12 months were focused on hydro in Portugal (+257MW backed by completion of repowering Alqueva II), by wind (+515MW) and new capacity in Brazil (+188MW). Our Setúbal fueloil plant (946MW) was shutdown in 1Q13. Energy distributed by EDP decreased 5% YoY in 1Q13, due to weak demand, particularly for gas.
