Pedro Vinagre is CEO for EDP’s Europe Region (excludes Portugal and Spain). In his current role, he leads the region’s operations and investments in European markets with strong potential and a clear commitment to the energy transition. His responsibilities span the development and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind and storage, as well as decentralized energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers, such as on-site generation and behind-the-meter storage.
Since joining the EDP Group in 2010, Pedro has held a variety of leadership positions across different areas of the business, including Networks, Retail and Client Solutions. Most recently, he served as Executive Director for Business Development in North and Central Europe, where he focused on fostering sustainable and efficient growth and investment across EDP’s renewable energy portfolio in the region. Prior to that, he served for three years as Customer Service Director and for six years as a member of the Executive Board of EDP Client Solutions, the Group’s retail business.
Before joining EDP, Pedro gained experience in consulting, sales, operations and IT in multinational companies, where he managed diverse international teams.
He graduated in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and completed an MBA at INSEAD Business School in 2009.
