Pedro Neves Ferreira leads Global Energy Management at EDP, being responsible for maximizing the value of EDP’s diversified energy portfolio in wholesale markets by optimizing the risk-return profile of the Group’s merchant portfolio across the geographies where EDP is present. Key activities include portfolio optimization, risk management, market operations and trading.
With more than two decades of experience in the energy sector, Pedro has held a broad range of senior roles at EDP. He has led Energy Planning and Corporate Risk Management, and served as a Board Member of EDP’s Generation business. This experience has given him a broad perspective across energy markets, generation, regulation, risk and portfolio strategy, combining market insight with strategic and investment decision-making.
Pedro holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, an MBA from INSEAD, and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) jointly delivered by Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and Kellogg School of Management.
