Yesterday, the Portuguese Independent Energy Services Regulator, ERSE, made public the final document "Tariffs and prices for electricity and other services in 2011", which set a 3.8% average increase of final low voltage (LV) electricity tariffs in Portugal mainland for 2011. With the end of last resort supply tariff option for very high (VHV), high (HV), medium (MV) and special low voltage (SLV) clients, as from January 1st, 2011, transitory tariffs were defined for these clients.

EDP, through its 96.86% held Spanish subsidiary Hidroeléctrica Del Cantábrico S.A. ("HC Energia"), shall receive around €102.5 million, which corresponds to 6% of the amount received by FADE excluding amount that corresponds to extra-peninsular tariff deficit.

Today, Moody's Investors Service placed EDP on review for possible downgrade mirroring Moody's earlier rating action to place the Republic of Portugal on review.

EDP Finance BV issued and priced today a Eurobond in the total amount of EUR 750,000,000 maturing in January 2016 with a coupon of 5.875%.

Today, Fitch Ratings said that EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A.'s (EDP) ratings are not affected by Portugal rating downgrade last week. Fitch currently rates EDP's Long-term Issuer Default rating (IDR) at "A-" with a Stable Outlook.

On November 30, 2010, Norges Bank (the Central Bank of Norway) notified EDP that it came to hold 75,142,834 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.06% of EDP's share capital and 2.06% of the respective voting rights.

On December 31, 2010, PARPÚBLICA – Participações Públicas (SGPS), S.A. notified EDP to the increase of a direct qualifying holding of 3.29% to 5.79% of the share capital of EDP. The change in participation is a result of the acquisition of 91,413,443 category A shares (representing 2.50% of EDP's share capital) from Caixa Geral de Depósitos, S.A.

Today, Iberdrola SGPS, S.A. notified EDP that it transferred over-the-counter 248,437,516 ordinary shares, which corresponds to 6.79% of EDP's share capital and 5.00% of the respective voting rights, to Iberdrola Energia S.A.U. ("Iberener"), a company incorporated under Spanish law, established in Madrid.

EDP Finance BV issued and priced today a CHF 30,000,000 increase of its inaugural CHF 200,000,000 bond offering issued on the 31st January. This brings the total size for the security maturing in February 2014 with a coupon of 3.5% to CHF 230,000,000.
