EDP Finance BV priced today a Swiss Franc bond in the total amount of CHF 125 million maturing in November 2018 with a coupon of 4%.

EDP – Energias do Brasil, EDP Group's subsidiary for the Brazilian electricity market, listed in Sao Paulo Stock Exchange and 51.0% owned by EDP, announced today that the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) granted, the Porto de Pécem I thermal plant, the permission to begin the commercial operation of the first group, with 360 MW of installed capacity.

The Brazilian electricity regulator, ANEEL, approved a 11.45% annual tariff readjustment index for EDP Bandeirante, for the period from October 23rd 2012 to October 22nd 2013.

Due to the resignation as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Parpublica - Participações Públicas (SGPS), S.A., Mr. José Joaquim de Oliveira Reis has presented by letter on the 11th October, his resignation as member of the  General and Supervisory Board.

EDP Finance BV issued and priced today a Eurobond in the total amount of EUR 750,000,000 maturing in September 2017 with a coupon of 5.75%.

EDP installed capacity reached 22.7GW in Sep-12, mostly focused in wind and hydro which represents nearly two thirds of installed capacity. Capacity additions in the past 12 months were focused on hydro in Portugal (+437MW backed by completion of repowerings at Picote II and Bemposta II) and by wind (+429MW). In spite of dry weather in Iberia, c60% of the group's total generation in 9M12 derived from hydro and wind. Total generation totalled 39TWh in 9M12. Energy distributed by EDP rose 3% supported by gas in Iberia.
