EDP Brasil, EDP Group's subsidiary for the Brazilian electricity market, announced today that has signed a Stock Purchase Agreement with Eneva S.A., aiming to acquire 50% of the total and voting capital of Porto do Pecém held by Eneva, including Intercompany loans and Coal and Energy Credits.

The Brazilian electricity regulator, ANEEL, approved a 22.34% annual tariff readjustment index for EDP Bandeirante, for the period from October 23rd 2014 to October 22nd 2015.

China Development Bank Corporation approved today the terms of a loan to be provided to EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. and EDP Finance BV for a total of €1,000 million. The loan is senior and unsecured, with a 5 year tenor and a margin of 480 bps over 6-month Euribor.

Today, EDP informs the trade unions that integrate employees of its group companies, that are parties of the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA), that these companies will terminate the CLA in force since year 2000 and present a proposal for a new collective labour agreement.

EDP installed capacity reached 22.4GW in Jun-12, mainly backed by CO2-free technologies: wind and hydro represent two thirds of installed capacity. Capacity additions in the past 12 months were focused on hydro in Portugal (+437MW backed by completion of repowerings at Picote II and Bemposta II) and by wind (+282MW). In spite of dry weather in Iberia, c60% of the group's total generation in 1H12 derived from hydro and wind. Total generation totalled 29TWh in 1H12. Energy distributed by EDP rose 3% supported by gas in Iberia.

Today, Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") downgraded EDP - Energias de Portugal SA ("EDP"), its finance subsidiary EDP Finance BV ("EDP Finance") and its Spanish subsidiary, Hidroelectrica del Cantabrico ("HC Energia") long-term Issuer Default Ratings to "BBB-" from "BBB+", with negative outlook. Fitch has also downgraded EDP's and HC Energia short-term Issuer Default Ratings to "F3" from "F2" with outlook negative. EDP and HC Energia's ratings have been removed from Rating Watch Negative.
