Solidarity Mobility

Solidarity Mobility, promoted by the EDP Foundations in Portugal and Spain, is a program aimed at the Social and Solidarity sector that strengthens our commitment to leaving no one behind in the challenge of the energy transition.

Its goal is to support the third sector in making a fair and informed transition to electric mobility by promoting the reduction of the sector’s carbon footprint and savings in energy consumption.

Mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Electric mobility is one of EDP’s strategic priorities in the journey toward a just energy transition.
As a concrete response to the commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change, it represents a practical and accessible solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to maximize the use of electricity generated from renewable sources.

Previous edition

In the previous edition, in 2022, the EDP Foundation supported 19 electric vans for institutions across nine municipalities. These vehicles enhance the ability of these institutions to serve their target audiences, while also contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
