SHIFTMAKERS
is an EDP educational program that raises awareness among young people, starting from the 7th grade, of today’s major challenges, including energy, sustainability, human rights, active citizenship, and inclusion. In this way, the program equips them to understand the importance of a just energy transition while promoting the development of the skills and knowledge needed to become active agents in building a more sustainable and inclusive future.
To foster an inclusive and intergenerational ecosystem, the program also involves participants from the LIGA Foundation, including people with special needs and elderly people, enriching the learning experience through exposure to different realities.
To this end, the program incorporates a series of initiatives that foster active citizenship across different age groups and audiences, promoting collaboration between social and corporate partners. These initiatives reinforce the shared commitment to a just energy transition through structured, inclusive volunteer activities that have a real impact on the community. The training sessions were held with the support of Mentes Empreendedoras, an implementation partner for this project.

Volunteering Initiatives
The program was designed to integrate naturally into the educational system, directly aligning with the guidelines of ENEC 2025—the National Strategy for Citizenship Education (DGE).
