Driving Sustainability and Innovation at EDP: My Journey with EU SYSFLEX and X-Flex
Participating in EDP S.A.'s innovation projects has always been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. I felt inspired by the opportunity to contribute to the continuous transformation of the company, aiming to maintain and strengthen our leadership position in the energy sector. Through involvement in various innovative initiatives, I witnessed firsthand the power and impact that technology and innovation have in shaping a sustainable and efficient future.
Throughout this journey, I had the honor of working alongside highly talented and dedicated colleagues, each with their own specialization and unique perspectives. This diversity allowed us to explore creative solutions and implement projects that surprised us with their effectiveness and impact.
One of the initiatives that I am most proud of was the participation in the EU SYSFLEX and X-Flex Projects, aiming to develop an intelligent energy management system and enhance the flexibility of our hydro units, optimizing our fleet and significantly contributing to the company’s carbon footprint reduction.
