EDP launches the EDP Global Graduate Program
Applications opened today for a new program aimed at empowering the next generation of talent. Throughout the program, participants will have the opportunity to complete three six-month rotations across different areas of the group, as well as undertake an international experience.
The EDP Global Graduate Program, previously known as the EDP Trainee Program, will last 18 months and is open to candidates from Europe, North America, South America, and Asia-Pacific — regions where the company operates. The global program offers a multidisciplinary experience designed to enhance both professional and personal skills, while also creating long-term career opportunities at EDP. Applications are open until March 29.
EDP is looking for curious profiles with a collaborative mindset, a forward-looking vision, and a strong focus on impact, characteristics aligned with the company’s values. This initiative reinforces EDP’s commitment to developing a new generation of professionals and recent graduates prepared to address the challenges of the energy sector and the transition to a more independent, secure, and resilient energy future. Candidates from all academic backgrounds and nationalities may apply, provided they are proficient in English and are recent graduates or have up to two years of professional experience.
The EDP Global Graduate Program features a creative campaign under the motto “Imagine,” aligned with the institutional concept “Imagine the Next 50,” which marks EDP’s 50th anniversary. The campaign invites recent graduates to imagine their professional future within a global company driven by talent, innovation, and commitment. In a particularly symbolic year for the company, the challenge is clear: to imagine a journey where participants actively contribute to building EDP’s next 50 years.
The current application period, as well as all stages of the recruitment process, will take place exclusively in a digital format, ensuring a simple, accessible, and inclusive experience for all candidates. Once the selection phase is completed, the chosen participants will begin their journey in September.
Throughout the 18-month program, participants will gain direct exposure to different realities within the Group through three six-month professional rotations in various business areas or EDP companies. This model provides a comprehensive view of the Group and promotes the development of diverse skills. At the end of the program, participants may be considered for integration opportunities across EDP Group companies in different markets.
By joining teams and projects that impact business sustainability, graduates will be involved in creating and implementing innovative solutions for the energy sector. At the same time, the program fosters a collaborative work environment focused on continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and agile decision-making.
