EDP sells tariff adjustments relative to the CMEC

Under the terms and for the purposes of article 248 of the Securities Code, EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. ("EDP") hereby discloses the following information to the market and to the public in general:

EDP Distribuição - Energia, S.A., the concessionaire and operator entity of the National Distribution Grid of electric energy, 100% owned by EDP, sold today the right to recover the amount of the annual adjustment, referring to 2010, of the compensation due for the early termination of the power purchase agreements, which was deferred to 2013, in accordance with the terms of Decree-Law n.º 109/2011, of November 18, in the amount of €141,480,094, together with accrued interest.
