EDP secures 70 MW of Storage in the US

Lisbon, November 5th, 2025: EDP, S.A. (“EDP”), through its 71.3% owned subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A. (“EDPR”), informs that EDPR, through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, has signed a 17-year Capacity Tolling Agreement with Ava Community Energy for a 70 MW (280 MWh) co-located Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”).

The project, located in Fresno County, California, US, is an extension of an operational solar and storage facility and is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2026.

With this agreement, EDP expands its North American footprint, building on its 3.4 GW of solar and 0.7 GW of BESS capacity in operation or under construction. This milestone reinforces EDP’s low-risk, long-term growth strategy and its commitment to innovation and storage technologies as key enablers of the energy transition and decarbonization.

This information is disclosed pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of the article 17 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
