EDP informs about PPA secured for a 150 MWac solar project in US
Lisbon, January 7th, 2026: EDP, S.A. (“EDP”), through its 71.3% owned subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A. (“EDPR”), has secured a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with Consumers Energy Company (CeC) for the clean energy generated by a 150 MWac (209 MWdc) solar project in Clark County, Illinois, US.
The project is scheduled to begin operations in 2027, reinforcing EDP’s strategic positioning in North America as a key renewable energy player. It showcases the strength of EDP's pipeline and its ability to forge long-term partnerships with major utilities.
This agreement further consolidates EDP’s low-risk growth strategy by developing projects with long-term visibility, delivering competitive, reliable, and clean power generation solutions.
Completion of this agreement is subject to the regulatory approval from the Michigan Public Service Commission.
