Solar panels with a total capacity of 5,7 MWp and 10 MWh battery systems showcase the power of the energy transition by installing an innovative renewable project on a former mining sites.

A long-term agreement between Energa and EDP Renewables will provide approximately 600 GWh of renewable energy per year to the Polish utility, from a multi-technology portfolio comprising wind and solar assets. The partnership between two leading energy companies ensures price stability and predictability, and prevents volatility in the current market context.

Carrefour Polska and EDP have signed a long-term PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) contract for the purchase of electricity from renewable sources. Clean energy from EDP's solar and wind installations will cover as much as 30% of Carrefour's energy demand in Poland.

EDP strengthens its role as a trusted energy partner through this agreement with Leroy Merlin to install 4.6 MWp of solar capacity across 26 stores in Poland, supporting the company’s transition to more efficient energy.

This 120 MW wind farm marked EDP’s first step into the Polish market, where the company has installed over 1 GW of renewable capacity. An institutional event was held to commemorate the anniversary of this pioneering project, which over the years has generated enough clean energy to power nearly two million Polish households.

The agreement with Axpo in Poland will allow EDP to optimize and secure revenues on this asset through a floor structure and reflects the company’s commitment to enabling a more flexible and secure energy system in the country, where EDP has developed over 1 GW of wind and solar projects.

EDP, a leading global energy group, will install and operate over 1,500 solar panels at the Turek Dairy Plant facilities in the city of Turek.

These BESS projects have been granted in the latest capacity market auction and will deliver over 640 MWh of energy.

With a combined capacity of 124.5 MWp (115.5 MWac), the Konary wind-solar hybrid project produced over 180 GWh for the Polish grid, increasing the renewable production of the site up to almost 20%;This was the first renewable hybrid project in Poland and showcases how combining renewable energy technologies on the same site allows adding more clean energy to the country.

This is the best result since the company started operating in Poland and 10 times more than in 2021. The dynamic development of the company was possible thanks to organic growth and acquisitions.
