What we do
We want a better tomorrow
Throughout our history, we worked to make EDP a leading multinational in the energy transition to renewables, present in four main regions across the globe (Europe, North America, South America and Asia Pacific). But at the heart of it all remains electricity, which moves people, businesses, and the planet. An increasingly greener world, where we anticipate the transformations necessary for sustainability.

We embrace innovation
EDP operates across renewable energy generation, electricity networks, energy management and solutions for clients. The company produces, manages and distributes electricity, with activities across Europe, North America, South America and Asia-Pacific.
EDP's renewable energy portfolio includes solar, wind and hydropower. The company also combines different renewable technologies with solutions such as energy storage and hybridisation as part of its approach to electricity generation and the energy transition.
EDP provides energy solutions designed to support clients in managing their energy use and decarbonisation. These complement the company's activities in renewable generation, electricity networks and energy management, positioning EDP as both an energy supplier and a sustainability partner to its clients.
In the first half of 2026, EDP reported 32.8 GW of total installed capacity, with renewables representing 87% of installed capacity. The company also reported more than three million electricity and gas customers and approximately 393,000 kilometres of electricity networks.
