Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 19 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and of article 248-B of the Portuguese Securities code, EDP - Energias de Portugal SA (“EDP”) provides the following information to the market:

Mr. Rui Manuel Rodrigues Lopes Teixeira, member of EDP Executive Board of Directors, informed EDP that, on August 30th, 2017, he has acquired 23,400 shares of EDP share capital, according to the details in the document attached:

Following the above-mentioned acquisition, 31,733 shares of EDP’s share capital are now attributable to Mr. Rui Manuel Rodrigues Lopes Teixeira.

Please find enclosed in Annex the form for notification and public disclosure of transactions on the shares of EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A., prepared in conformance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2016/523, of 10 March 2016, laying down implementing technical standards regarding the format and template for notification and public disclosure of managers’ transactions, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 596/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
