Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 19 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and of article 248-B of the Portuguese Securities code, EDP - Energias de Portugal SA ("EDP") provides the following information to the market:

1. Mr. Rui Manuel Rodrigues Lopes Teixeira, member of EDP Executive Board of Directors, informed EDP that, on the past November 11th, 2016, has acquired 1,000 shares of EDP share capital, at a price of 2.709 euros per share.

2. Following the above-mentioned acquisition, Mr. Rui Manuel Rodrigues Lopes Teixeira holds 8,333 shares of EDP's share capital.

Please find enclosed in Annex the form for notification and public disclosure of transactions on the shares of EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A., prepared in accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2016/523, of 10 March 2016, laying down implementing technical standards with regard to the format and template for notification and public disclosure of managers' transactions, in conformity with Regulation (EU) No. 596/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
