Horizon Wind Energy LLC ("Horizon"), a subsidiary of EDP - Energias de Portugal S.A. ("EDP"), agreed, on 31st December 2007 to a transaction with a consortium of institutional equity investors composed of GE Energy Financial Services, and Wachovia Investment Holdings, LLC, for the participation in a portfolio of four wind farm projects entering into operation between 2007 and early 2008 with a net installed capacity of 600MW: Elkhorn Valley (101MW), Prairie Star (101 MW), Twin Groves 2 (198 MW) and Lone Star 2 (200 MW). In this transaction the consortium will invest a total of USD 600 million of which USD 340 million was funded in 2007 and the remainder will be invested in 2008.
