EDP signed a 5-year revolving credit facility in the amount of €2,240,000,000
Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of the article 17 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities code, EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. (“EDP”) is providing the following information to the market:
EDP – Energias de Portugal (EDP) has signed a five-year revolving credit facility (‘RCF’), with options to extend for 2 additional years (subject to Lenders’ agreement), in the amount of €2,240,000,000, which can be drawn in Euros and USD.
This revolving credit facility replaces the €2,000,000,000 facility signed in 2015 with 16 banks, that was due to mature in February 2020, and is currently drawn by an amount of €1.500.000.000, allowing to strengthen the liquidity position of the Group and increase the average life of its debt.
The facility was self-arranged by EDP, having the participation of the following 17 banks: BBVA, Banco de Sabadell, S.A., Banco Santander Totta, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd, BNP Paribas, Caixabank, S.A., Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC France, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, ING Bank N.V., J.P. Morgan Securities PLC, Mediobanca, National Westminster Bank PLC, Societe Generale and Unicredit Corporate & Investment Banking (“Bookrunners & Mandated Lead Arrangers”). BNP Paribas also acts as Facility Agent.
