Oversee and ensure accounting, consolidation, and tax management activities to enhance financial compliance, transparency, optimise results, and streamline the group’s tax processes, ensuring accurate and consistent accounting across all entities.

Define and discuss the group’s capital structure, analyse project financing opportunities and financing strategies, and monitor treasury operations, financial positions, and exposure to financial risk.

Analyse, discuss, and approve long-term financial plans and budgets while monitoring CAPEX and OPEX execution, promoting efficiency initiatives across the group. Track financial performance, providing financial insights, forecasts, and analyses to support decision-making and strategy-setting.

Analyse and manage investor relations and ESG strategy, assessing the financial and ESG information to be published, monitoring ESG performance, and implementing key sustainability initiatives.

Advise and support the Executive Board in decision-making, coordinating the Investment Committee’s strategic discussions, as well as executing Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategic Partnerships, stock market transactions, asset rotation, and investment approvals to support Regions, Platforms, and Functions.

Define the Group’s ethics and compliance vision and strategy, identifying, analysing, and evaluating compliance risks, establishing and implementing control mechanisms for identified risks, and proactively providing advice to businesses.

Enhance and protect organisational value by providing independent, objective, and risk-based assurance, advice, and insights. Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Provide global legal advice and support to EDP and its corporate structures, governing bodies, businesses, and activities worldwide, coordinating legal matters to deliver reliable, agile, and value-added legal solutions, as well as defining strategic governance policies and guidelines, contributing to making EDP an industry reference.

Promote organisational success through the adoption of innovative procurement strategies, sustainable practices, and the creation of resilient supply chains. Leverage deep knowledge of the supply market, cutting-edge digital tools, and strong, ethical partnerships with suppliers, enabling EDP to adapt and lead in a rapidly evolving energy landscape, ensuring agility and adaptability in all operations.

Contribute to shaping EDP’s strategy and the success of its execution by conducting strategic studies on sector challenges and the Group’s portfolio decisions. Define a consistent vision of market developments, proactively identify and mitigate regulatory and policy risks, and ensure a unified approach to regulatory, political, and stakeholder engagement across the Group.

Define a Group-level risk management strategy through an integrated process that identifies, analyses, evaluates, mitigates, and monitors key risk exposures, closely supporting (but independently) the company to maximise the risk-return balance.

Place safety and security at the core of EDP’s culture, fostering a preventative approach to avoid workplace accidents and occupational diseases, protect our people and assets from external threats, and promote workplace health, while ensuring effective business continuity and crisis management responses.

Define and implement a comprehensive Group-wide vision and strategy centred on creating positive social impact within communities while supporting business operations. This requires close alignment with business units and foundations, co-developing innovative solutions, diligently monitoring implementation, establishing robust policies, disseminating best practices, and ensuring cohesive global communication to reinforce our brand's commitment to social responsibility.
