The projects will have a positive impact in more than 65 000 people

They make photovoltaic solutions for self-consumption, customised for each farm, available to the approximately 1,100 livestock farms of their members.

EDP, in addition to an initial amount, matches the amount donated by each employee to contribute together to this cause.

The 14,285.75 kWh generated, which is equivalent to driving almost 100,000 kilometres in an electric vehicle, will be donated to various Caritas and Spanish Red Cross projects.

The acquisition of Enertel reinforces the internationalization strategy of EDP’s commercial sector towards other European markets. EDP Commercial has four million clients in Portugal, 30 000 contracts in Spain and already supplies energy and solar panels to companies in Italy and Poland.

The solar energy generated in the restaurants will prevent the emission of more than 2,300 tonnes of CO2 each year, an impact on air quality similar to that of 150,000 new trees.
