EDP – Energias do Brasil ("EDP Brasil"), EDP Group's subsidiary for the Brazilian electricity market, listed in Sao Paulo Stock Exchange and 51.0% owned by EDP, announced that it obtained the concession for the Cachoeira Caldeirão hydro plant on the A-5 auction carried out today by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL).

The Portuguese Energy Services Regulatory Authority ("ERSE") made public the final document regarding the "Tariffs and prices for electricity and other services for 2013" in Portugal, which set a 2.8% average increase of final normal low voltage (NLV) electricity tariffs in Portugal mainland for 2013.

On January 17, 2013, BlackRock, Inc. ("BlackRock") notified EDP that, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it holds a qualifying shareholding, since April 27, 2011, of 73,268,245 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.004% of EDP's share capital and 2.004% of the respective voting rights.

On January 24, 2013, Capital Research and Management Company ("Capital Research") notified EDP that, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it holds a qualifying shareholding of 73,625,043 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.0135% of EDP's share capital and 2.0135% of the respective voting rights.

On February 10th, 2014, Iberdrola Energía, S.A. ("Iberdrola") notified EDP regarding the sale in the NYSE Euronext Lisbon market of 160,000 shares, corresponding to 0.004% of the share capital of EDP. As of today, and following sales carried out since December 31st, 2013 (including the aforementioned sale), Iberdrola holds 182,674,782 shares, correspondent to 4.996% of EDP's share capital and voting rights.

StormHarbour Securities LLP has been mandated as sole arranger and Joint Lead Manager and Banco Santander Totta S.A. and J.P. Morgan have been mandated as Joint Lead Managers for the second Volta transaction, a securitization transaction of credit rights held by EDP Serviço Universal, S.A. in relation with the deferment, for the period of 5 years, of the recovery of the over costs of 2013 (including the adjustments for 2011 and 2012) with the activity of acquisition of electricity to special regime generators.

In the context of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by EDP Brasil and CWE Investment Corporation, on December 6, 2013, which establishes the key guidelines of a partnership aiming at future co-investments between EDP Brasil and CWEI, EDP Brasil signed, on this date, a Purchase and Sale Agreement with CWEI (Brasil) Participações Ltda, a subsidiary of CWEI, to sell 33.3% of the company holding the rights to develop São Manoel hydro power plant to CWEI Brasil.

On March 7th, 2014, Capital Group notified EDP that, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it holds a qualifying shareholding of 370,584,953 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 10.13% of EDP's share capital and 10.13% of the respective voting rights.
