Today, Moody's Investors Service placed the Baa1/Prime-2 senior unsecured ratings of EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A., its finance subsidiary EDP Finance BV, and its Spanish subsidiary, Hidroelectrica del Cantabrico under review for possible downgrade.

On May 27, 2011, JP Morgan Chase & Co. notified EDP to the decrease of a qualifying holding of 2.03% to 1.62% of the share capital of EDP.

Following the information released to the market on May 13th, EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. requested today to ANBIMA – Associação Brasileira das Entidades dos Mercados Financeiro e de Capitais the preliminary analysis of the documentation for the registration of the secondary distribution public offer of shares issued by EDP – Energias do Brasil, S.A.

On August 24, 2011, Qatar Holding LLC notified EDP that it has acquired a qualifying holding, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, represented by 73,800,000 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.018% of EDP's share capital and 2.018% of the respective voting rights.
