If you’re currently studying, have recently graduated, or are in the first 3 years of your career, this is your opportunity to learn from EDP women employees. Join our mentoring program to develop your skills, gain career insights, and expand your professional network, while being inspired to shape the future of the energy sector. 

About the program
The SheMentors program is a global initiative designed to support students and young professionals (all genders) in the first 3 years of their career, by connecting them with EDP women leaders as mentors. This 6-month journey combines one-to-one mentoring sessions and global workshops, offering a unique opportunity to set career goals, build confidence, and be inspired to shape the future of the energy sector.

Screening, selection, and matching with a mentor

Our team will screen all applications and effectively match you with a mentor.

Applications are now open, and the program runs between October and March, closing on International Women’s Day.

What we're looking for:

  • Students, recent graduates, or young professionals (up to 3 years of career experience) who want to develop new skills and explore fresh opportunities
  • Basic digital skills for hybrid/remote format
  • Good knowledge of English, Portuguese, or Spanish, to ensure full participation in mentoring sessions and workshops
  • Total of 10 spots available, globally

This global mentoring initiative connects students and young professionals (up to 3 years of career experience) with EDP women employees. Over six months, participants will take part in one-to-one mentoring sessions and global workshops, gaining guidance, career insights, and opportunities to grow their professional network. 

We are committed to promoting equality and inclusion in the workplace. Starting a career is never easy, and mentoring can make a real difference by opening doors, inspiring confidence, and providing role models. By launching this program under our new Plan for Equality, we want to empower the next generation while giving visibility to the talent of our women leaders at EDP. 

The program is aimed at: 

  • Students currently enrolled in higher education 
  • Recent graduates 
  • Young professionals with up to 3 years of career experience 

 It is open to everyone because we believe change happens with all of us, but all mentors will be EDP women employees. 

  • Be a student, recent graduate, or young professional (≤ 3 years of experience) 
  • Basic digital skills (the program will run in a hybrid/remote format) 
  • Good knowledge of English, Portuguese, or Spanish 

The selection process is 100% digital and has two steps: 

  • Online application: complete the application form. 
  • Screening and matching: our DEIB and Talent teams will review applications and pair participants with mentors. 
  • Skill development: learn transversal skills (communication, digital literacy, sector insights, networking). 
  • Mentoring: receive guidance and inspiration directly from EDP women employees. 
  • Career growth: set goals, gain confidence, and enrich your CV. 
  • Networking: connect with peers and mentors across the globe. 

No, the program is not remunerated. Its value comes from the unique opportunity to learn directly from women leaders, develop key skills, and expand your professional network. 

The program does not guarantee a job offer. However, it equips you with skills, confidence, and connections that will enhance your career prospects, and the network you build may open doors to new opportunities. 

The program has 10 global spots available, ensuring a close and impactful mentoring experience. 

Our DEIB and Talent teams will review your application and match you with a mentor. If selected, you’ll receive details about your mentor, program guidelines, and the full calendar of workshops and mentoring sessions.
