Business Structure

A simplified structure to embrace the future

The current operational model comprises a matrix structure made up of Platforms, Regions, Business Enablement Functions (BEF), and Global Business Services (GBS). Its goal is to guarantee EDP's integrated presence through a simplified governance model that promotes effective collaboration, with a well-defined structure and clear decision-making guidelines and responsibilities.

FAQs

EDP's business structure is organised around global Platforms, Regions and Group-wide functions. This model combines the management of the Group's main business activities with regional responsibilities and functions that operate across the organisation.

EDP's global business Platforms organise the Group's activities into key business areas. They cover renewable generation, electricity networks, client solutions and global energy management, supporting an integrated approach across the markets where EDP operates.

Regions complement EDP's global business Platforms by coordinating activities and priorities within specific geographies, while Group-wide functions provide expertise and support across the organisation. Together, these elements form EDP's integrated business structure.

EDP's business structure includes five Regions: Iberia, North America, South America, Asia-Pacific and Brazil. The Regions work alongside the global business Platforms and Group-wide functions to support the Group's activities across its different geographies.
