A simplified structure to embrace the future
The current operational model comprises a matrix structure made up of Platforms, Regions, Business Enablement Functions (BEF), and Global Business Services (GBS). Its goal is to guarantee EDP's integrated presence through a simplified governance model that promotes effective collaboration, with a well-defined structure and clear decision-making guidelines and responsibilities.

To lead the energy transition in Europe and create value by achieving attractive profitability targets through large-scale renewable energy and distributed generation projects, leveraged on energy markets expertise within the European region. Drive profitability by leveraging on a well-diversified portfolio (11 markets), maximizing synergies within EDP group across the various Platforms and impacting local communities, and all other relevant stakeholders, contributing to the Group’s ESG leading position.
To lead the energy transition in South America by delivering high profitability targets, leveraging on renewable energy growth potential and Networks opportunities, maximizing synergies within EDP group across the various Platforms and impacting on local communities, and all other relevant stakeholders, contributing to the Group’s ESG leading position.
To lead the energy transition in North America by delivering high profitability targets, through its differentiated portfolio and growth ambition while strongly contributing to the development rural of communities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and thus becoming a role model for the industry and other regions globally.
To lead the energy transition in Asia-Pacific, continuously develop and deliver renewable energy projects to operation, optimize engineering and construction, asset management, and promote sustainable solutions. Manage end-to-end global operations for value, focusing on cash flow generation and optimization. Leverage distinctive technology and engineering capabilities to drive excellence and efficiency across regions.
Lead energy management group-wide that optimizes portfolio risk-adjusted return, through flexible and efficient asset management, providing regional market access and consolidating generation and supply positions, thriving to achieve full energy transition.
Act as single face and partner for clients' full decarbonization worldwide, driving EDP Client Solutions business across regions by offering integrated energy solutions, ensuring efficient product delivery and seamless client experience.
Drive value creation of the networks business in Iberia, aligned with the platform strategy and business plan, by managing its operations, which entails grids management, maintenance and construction, as well as the smart meter deployment and operation, including supporting all customer and market activities. Manage all field services and technical operations, including managing all service providers. Represent EDP's Grid businesses in the Iberian market before regional stakeholders.
Lead the development of digitally enabled grids to ensure reliability, resilience, efficiency, and quality of service while supporting the acceleration of the Energy Transition and economic development. Optimize target CAPEX and Regulatory Asset Base (RAB) to maximize ROI, controlling OPEX under accepted regulated costs in a strongly synergic approach.
BEFs are cross-functional capabilities (for example, Finance, Procurement, Digital, People and Organisation) that enable business delivery, provide fiduciary oversight, and drive global excellence across platforms, regions, GBS, and other BEFs.
Deliver professional and transactional services at scale to the entire EDP Group, aligned with Business Enablement Functions (BEFs), creating value by driving productivity and efficiency with end-to-end standard processes and control, and acting as the single face for business support through a global delivery network.
