Duarte Bello is CEO of EDP for Iberia (Portugal and Spain). He also oversees EDP's global Regulation, Markets and Stakeholders area, leading regulatory affairs, energy markets and stakeholder engagement across the Group's international footprint.
With over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy and energy, Duarte joined EDP in 2006 and led the Group's Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Development area, overseeing international M&A transactions across Europe, the United States, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Since 2017, he has been a member of EDP Renewables Management Team, leading the European and LatAm markets. He has also served as Chief of Staff to the CEO and as a member of EDP's Investment Committee, playing a key role in the company's international growth strategy.
Before joining EDP, Duarte worked in investment banking in London and Lisbon.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, an MBA from INSEAD and a postgraduate qualification from Harvard Business School.
