Rui Teixeira is a member of EDP’s Executive Board of Directors since 2015 and CFO since 2021, overseeing the Group’s financial strategy and performance across its global operations. He is also a Board Member and CFO of EDP Renewables and Chairman of Ocean Winds. Rui joined EDP in 2004 and has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector.
Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions, including CEO of EDP España and CEO of EDP’s generation business in Portugal. Prior to joining EDP, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and as a surveyor at Det Norske Veritas.
Rui holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
