EDP Renewables Supports Dubois County Organizations with $15,000 in Community Investments

Dubois County, Indiana (March 5, 2026) — EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) today announced a series of recent donations supporting local organizations across Dubois County, Indiana, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strengthening the communities where it operates.

Through its Duff Solar project, EDPR NA has contributed more than $15,000 to local nonprofits, schools, and community initiatives in recent months. These investments reflect the company’s ongoing dedication to education, conservation, youth development, and regional priorities. Recent contributions include:

  • $10,000 to Southridge High School for classroom upgrades, learning-based technologies and supplies, and new shop and greenhouse projects to revitalize the school’s agricultural program
  • $4,000 to the Dubois County 4-H Council and 4-H Fair to support agricultural education and youth development
  • $1,000 to the Duff Conservation Club for building improvements, including lighting and screening

Supporting local programs and traditions is how we demonstrate our commitment to being long-term partners in Dubois County and all the communities where we operate." 

These contributions reinforce EDPR NA’s longstanding track record of community investment in Dubois County, including $10,000 donated to support a youth baseball and softball complex in the City of Huntingburg and $11,825 donated to support the purchase of accessible and inclusive playground equipment in the City of Jasper.

EDPR NA’s Duff Solar projects will contribute reliable, domestically generated energy to Indiana’s grid and deliver ongoing economic benefits to local communities through revenue, landowner payments, job creation, and community investment. The first phase of Duff Solar is anticipated to reach commercial operations by Summer 2026 and will power the equivalent of more than 19,200 Indiana homes. The project represents more than $41.7 million in regional economic impact, including:

  • $30 million in payments to local landowners to diversify revenue from properties and provide a steady source of income
  • $2.8 million in regional spend to date, directly boosting the local economy
  • $8.9 million in revenue to support local public services, schools, and infrastructure
  • More than 500 jobs supported during construction and 2 permanent jobs created 

EDPR NA is the largest owner and operator of clean energy in Indiana, generating nearly 30% of all the wind, solar, and storage capacity in the state. EDPR NA now operates 2 GW gross of reliable, domestically-sourced energy in Indiana powering the equivalent of more than 527,000 homes and businesses.
