EDP and Pingo Doce launch partnership that turns energy into savings on grocery shopping
New offer allows customers to receive 10% of their energy bill as Pingo Doce credit every month, through a partnership between two leading brands present in families’ day-to-day lives.
EDP Comercial and Pingo Doce have launched a new partnership that enables customers to turn part of their energy bill into direct savings on everyday shopping. From 11 May onwards, EDP residential customers will be able to receive 10% of the value of their energy bill as credit in the O Meu Pingo Doce app, up to a maximum of €10 per month.
The benefit is credited automatically on a monthly basis following a single subscription, allowing an essential household expense - energy - to be converted into savings on another basic family need: food.
At a time when consumers are increasingly attentive to their expenditure and are seeking simple solutions with a direct impact on their monthly budget, this partnership presents a clear proposition, based on benefit predictability and ease of use.

To benefit from the offer, customers must be registered on the O Meu Pingo Doce app, where the credit will be automatically allocated every month. Subscription is simple and can be completed through any EDP Comercial channel - stores, agents, telephone, website or the EDP app - by providing the O Meu Pingo Doce app customer number. Information on the accumulated benefit will also be available on the EDP Comercial bill.

The campaign will run between 11 and 31 May, with presence across usual channels such as television, radio, outdoor advertising, digital media and stores, although the offer will remain available for subscription after the end of the advertising campaign.
