Developing female talents with leadership potential.
EDP sponsors Promova - High Quality Executive Program, a program which aims to identify and develop female talents with leadership potential, encouraging their promotion to top management positions in companies, thus contributing to reduce the discrepancy of gender representation in this functional segment.
Promote equality
EDP supports this programme in Portugal and Spain, as main sponsor and supporting the annual enrolment of female company employees. Its mission is to identify and develop female talents with leadership potential, encouraging their promotion to top management positions in companies, thus helping to reduce gender inequalities.
Recipients
Any company sensitized to promoting gender equality in the workplace can participate in this program, as well as female executives interested in the project as long as they have the support of the company they work for.
The program is aimed at the following professionals and requires the following data:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable level of higher education
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience (15 years preferred)
- Hold a position of responsibility at the current date
- Level of English (B2)
- Submit a letter of support from the company where you work
Duration
The Promova Project has a one-year duration and is composed of several learning moments and methodologies that allow not only the upskilling of competences, but also the development of bonds around a common cause that cuts across several cultures - gender equality.
Functioning of the Program
The Program is composed of 3 or 4 modules, depending on the geographical context (Portugal or Spain). It addresses the dimensions of Purpose, Context, Impact and Leadership, in a total of 12 days of face-to-face training.
It is based on a strong coaching component, through which an individual plan is developed for each participant to achieve the desired professional goals and to enhance their promotion to management positions.
Additionally, there is a focus on networking and cross-mentoring. Participants have as mentors representatives from other companies (other than their own), fostering the exchange of experiences.
