Graduated with a major in Architecture and with a master's degree in Management, she was a fashion stylist and worked in Digital Marketing, in a luxury product company, and in a pharmaceutical company. The documentary Cowspiracy and a conference on Zero Waste generated the first concerns with sustainability. She created the blog Do Zero and today seeks to live with the minimal ecological footprint possible.

He graduated in Environmental Engineering from FCT-NOVA, where he also obtained a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies. He is a researcher and project manager at CENSE and at Project Drawdown. He has been working since 2008 in the field of energy, buildings and climate change, with a focus on energy efficiency and poverty. In 2017, he took on a position at the Management Committee for a European COST Action and he is one of the coordinators of the European Consultancy HUB. He is also a founding member of DERA - Drawdown Europe Research Association, and APEEN - Associação Portuguesa de Economia de Energia.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering and obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Porto University and Minho University. He worked for about eight years in projects and energy audits at Auditene, and in 2012 he joined EDP as project head in the field of energy efficiency. Five years ago he took on the position of EDP Comercial deputy director for B2B energy services, focusing mostly on energy efficiency, specialized technical services, and solar photovoltaic systems for self-consumption.
EDP is committed to energy efficiency, which can reduce polluting gas emissions and ensure a more sustainable future.
Vasco and Mary Anne d'Avillez belong to a generation for whom the collapse of our planet seemed a distant concern. Influenced by their grandchildren and Pope Francis, they took the first steps! They have made their home more efficient by installing solar panels and are now more conscious in their use of all resources.
