On May 16, 2012, Qatar Holding LCC ("Qatar Holding") notified EDP -Energias de Portugal,S.A. ("EDP"), in accordance with article 16 and 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code and article 2 of CMVM Regulation 5/2008, about the transfer of its qualifying holding of 82,868,933 shares to Qatar Holding Luxembourg II Sárl ("Qatar Lux") on May 10. As a result of the transfer, Qatar Lux holds 2.27% of EDP's share capital and 2.27% of the respective voting rights.

Qatar Holding also informed that Qatar Lux, company incorporated in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is onwed by Qatar Holding, which capital in fully owned by Qatar Investment Authorithy.
