EDP Comercial returns to normality with the reopening of stores and exclusive agents
Spaces that were closed to help contain the Covid-19 pandemic reopened on Monday, with a new opening time. Safety and hygiene measures were improved for the 30 street stores and 25 exclusive agents.
EDP Comercial reopened most of its stores on Monday, May 18th, closed since March 20th to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic. EDP Comercial's 30 street stores and 25 exclusive agents have a new opening time at 10 am, as mandated by the authorities, and are reopening with strong hygiene and safety measures: assistants are equipped with a mask and gloves, and are separated from customers through a protective acrylic; the visit time inside the spaces will be limited to ensure social distancing; and there will hand sanitizers, in order to ensure greater safety and protection for customers.
The use of masks will be mandatory inside stores and for exclusive agents, as mandated by the authorities, and the main measures recommended by the General Health Directorate will be available for consultation. The 11 spaces established in Lojas do Cidadão will reopen from June 1st, as decided by the authorities.
During this unprecedented period, EDP Comercial reinforced customer service through digital channels and by telephone, services that will continue to be available in: the edpOnline area, the customer area, edp.pt, and through the numbers 808 53 53 53 or 800 10 53 53 - it is still possible to carry out various operations such as sending readings, answering questions, managing changes to the contract, and adhering to the electronic invoice.
With these measures, EDP Comercial intends to restore normality to the service provided to its customers. With EDP Comercial's urgent and priority orders continuing uninterrupted, installations, and repairs and technical assistance will be extended beginning this week. Gas certification and energy efficiency services will be resumed within the deadlines set by the authorities, and interruptions of energy supply in cases of non-payment, suspended since March 16th, will resume on July 1st. In this case, the deadline for customer notice was extended by EDP Comercial to 50 days, so that they can pay the due amounts or ask to establish a payment agreement.
