Since its creation, EDP has supported the Reforça Program, which seeks to strengthen the capacity of Non-Governmental Organizations and support project ideas that propose to solve challenges.
Strengthen social acceleration
EDP, within the scope of its Volunteering Program, supports the Reforça 2.0 Program, an initiative that, in this edition, takes place online, free of charge, in two modalities:
1 - Social Acceleration: aimed at Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that want to improve their management skills, and strengthen their leadership and fundraising, consequently accelerating their transformation processes and increasing their impact on communities.
2 - Problem-Solving: aimed at organizations that have an idea for a project that may solve an EDP Group challenge and need support to develop this solution.
The Reforça Program
Created in 2020, this program puts into practice the concept of Venture Philanthropy, which accelerates the maturation and value-generation process of social organizations.
To do so, it seeks to strengthen the management skills of the entities in strategic topics such as management, fundraising, innovation, leadership, and strategic volunteering.
The process involves meetings, training sessions, and mentoring, during which organizations have the opportunity to learn from each other in a collaborative way.
Goals
- Strengthen organizations for local partnerships and execution of better projects;
- Boost new organizations and organizations that are already in Instituto EDP's portfolio, for possible future partnerships;
- Foster organizations in the cities where EDP operates.
Reforça supports organizations to become more agile, efficient, sustainable, with results that revert to the communities where they operate, helping to reduce inequalities. The program is implemented in partnership with Phomenta.
