The 9th edition of the EDP Energy Seminar took place on November 17th and 18th 2022, at the University of Cádiz, with the presence of several professionals from the EDP Group.
During two days, the functioning of the electricity sector was addressed throughout its value chain and in the current context of energy transition, both in generation and in distribution and supply. Sector ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) criteria were also highlighted, and the sector was analyzed as a way forward that is sustainable, innovative, inclusive and highly employable.

"Leading the Energy Transition", with sectoral content on the electricity value chain and relevant ESG aspects and regulatory aspects
"Solutions for the energy system transition", with content on energy management and generation activity, with a focus on renewables, storage and green hydrogen
16:00 - 17:30. Specific thematic sessions on industry news selected by the host university

18th November

"Sustainable consumption", with electrical distribution content related to solutions for customers connected to smart grids, and marketing content ranging from energy efficiency and decarbonization services, to solar self-consumption and sustainable mobility
"ESG excellence and positive impact on society", where climate change, circular economy, biodiversity and natural capital, social investment and fair energy transition are discussed
Additionally, a visit to the Los Barrios producer center was scheduled and a practical case was presented, which was worked on by the students, about the decarbonization of an activity, in this case a Hotel. They were asked to compose the "Carbon Footprint" of the activity and justify a "Decarbonization Plan", prioritizing actions following an effort-impact matrix.
