EDP Group's  Volunteer Program  has the mission of involving employees in the activation of EDP's social responsibility. We believe that volunteering develops our people and their talents and skills, it multiplies the purpose and meaning of what we do and actively contributes to the development and transformation of the communities where we are present.

Since its inception in 2011, the Program has  more than 30,000 entries, in a total of more than 225.000 volunteering hours, and it has partnered with over 1,800 organizations, affecting the lives of more than 1 million people.

Over the years, the Program has gained its place in EDP, involving employees in the various countries where the company is present, and it also challenged EDP retirees, families, friends and partners to participate in volunteer activities. Currently, 20% of EDP employees are volunteers through the company.

Until 2020, the strategic objectives of the Volunteering Program are to align with the business and increase the impact of projects through volunteering skills.
