The long-term auction allows us to increase to 558MW the total estimated capacity of EDP Renováveis for the country.
EDP Renováveis has just secured long-term contracts in the renewable energy auction carried out in Poland. These PPAs refer to the sale of energy produced by a portfolio of five projects, wind and solar, with a total capacity of 220MW. The parks in question are expected to start operations between 2022 and 2023.
This long-term contract reinforces the presence of EDP and EDP Renováveis in Poland, with 476MW in operation and 558MW already secured for the coming years.
As of today, EDP has already secured 87% of the approximately 7GW of additional capacity planned for the period 2019-2022, as announced in the Strategic Plan, on March 12, 2019.
