EDP Renováveis sells a 49% equity stake in 599MW wind farms in the US
EDP Renováveis, S.A., a subsidiary 77.5% controlled by EDP has reached an agreement with Borealis Infrastructure for the sale of a 49% equity shareholding in a portfolio of wind farm assets in the US.
Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 248 of the Portuguese Securities code, EDP - Energias de Portugal SA ("EDP") is providing the following information to the market:
EDP Renováveis, S.A. ("EDPR"), a subsidiary 77.5% controlled by EDP has reached an agreement with Borealis Infrastructure ("Borealis") for the sale of a 49% equity shareholding in a portfolio of wind farm assets in the US. The portfolio is comprised of four wind farms totalling 599 MW, installed between 2007 and 2008 (4.5 years of average age), and all of which have long-term Power Purchase Agreements in place.
The transaction is subject to the customary regulatory approvals. The total consideration for the 49% equity shareholding is USD 230 million.
