The Group is the only Portuguese entity referenced in the Etisphere 2015ranking, which recognized 132 companies worldwide.

EDP is part, for the fourth consecutive year, of the international ranking of the most ethical companies in the world 'The World's Most Ethical Companies - WME' by the Etisphere Institute, an organization that is a world leader in promoting standards of ethical business practices.
The World's Most Ethical Companies recognizes organizations that have had a significant impact on how business is conducted via the promotion of a culture of ethics and transparency in the various levels of the company.
The distinction for a fourth consecutive year highlights EDP's commitment to maintaining key standards and practices ensuring added value, in the long run, for the different stakeholders, including customers, employees, suppliers, regulators and investors.
In this context, EDP was considered a reference in the Energy and Utilities Electric business area, along with four other companies worldwide.
EDP Group, the only Portuguese company to join the International Index, has been recognized not only for the adoption of good sustainability and ethical practices in all its business areas, as well as the contribution it has made in its entire value chain and society in general, promoting the values of integrity, accountability and transparency in all its activities.
'The World's Most Ethical Companies embraces the correlation between ethical business practice and the improvement of the performance of a particular company. These companies use ethics as a means to define their leadership and understand that the creation of an ethical culture involves more than just a message from a set of executives affirming that this is the right thing, ' said Chief Executive Officer of Ethisphere, Timothy Erblich. 'Winning this recognition involves the collective action of a global workforce from top to bottom. Therefore, we congratulate all employees of EDP for this extraordinary achievement'.
The methodology for this classification includes the following analysis criteria: ethics and compliance, reputation, leadership and innovation, governance, corporate citizenship and social responsibility and sustainability.
