Some of the world's leading experts on the future of the planet will join some of the most critical climate change advocates on June 22nd for a global conference organized by EDP and broadcasted live from Madrid. Amal Clooney, Adam Grant, Céline Cousteau, and Peter Frankopan are some of the well-known faces who will be taking part in the 'We Choose Earth' event.

Energy company EDP is organizing this global conference in line with its leadership in the energy transition, where it has made a commitment to be 100% green by 2030 and to fight climate change by promoting a platform by which to protect the planet and to provide leaders, organizations, and society a fundamental role in the movement.

The company aims to create a program filled with in-depth debate whilst sharing strategic reflections on the future of the planet addressing energy and environmental adversities and the countless opportunities presented by these challenges. The program is available at EDP's Website.

This is the first time that these personalities have come together at one event, which will feature a visionary program combining debate, presentations on the energy transition and climate change, and a unified global vision of the latest advances and strategies in the field of sustainability. Experts, innovators, scientists, artists, singers, and world leaders will gather live from Spain to highlight the urgency to act to save the planet.

Key topics that will be highlighted in the 22 June program include: The harmony and balance between human and environmental factors; the importance of equity; environmental justice and sustainability for society; the different dimensions from which to address the climate emergency; the need to act against ocean pollution; and the challenges and opportunities for companies in the energy sector.

For those in the greater public interested to attend in person, ticket sales have opened (tickets available on the EDP website). Because EDP believes that the energy transition must be fair and serve all communities, all funds raised from ticket sales will go to different philanthropic organizations working on the environmental, social and energy transition fronts, including ECODES, La España Azul and Ecomar.
