EDP distinguished as one of the best companies to work for in nine countries
- The Top Employer Institute certified EDP and EDP Renewables for their best practices in people management.
- International recognition was reinforced this year in two more countries: Greece and Colombia.
The Top Employer Institute once again distinguished EDP and EDP Renewables for their policies of excellence in people management at a global level. In the case of EDP Renewables, this recognition results from individual certifications in nine countries where the company operates: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Brazil and, for the first time, Greece and Colombia – this means that the company is positioned as Top Employer in Europe for the fifth consecutive year. EDP in Portugal was also once again recognized with the Top Employer seal for the third year.
EDP, which has around 13,000 employees, thus consolidates its global positioning as an employer of first choice and its commitment to an inclusive, attractive work experience that places people at the centre of its strategy.
The Top Employer Institute is a global reference in the recognition of the best practices in people management, with more than 30 years of experience and having already certified more than 1,800 organizations worldwide. The certification program involves the analysis of 350 management practices, through which EDP was assessed in 20 different areas, standing out in topics such as Business Strategy and Ethics and Integrity, where it obtained the highest score, and also in Talent Attraction, Performance, Engagement, and Digital HR.
Very positive results that reflect an organization and measures focused on the development of all employees. In a year marked by demanding challenges, EDP promoted various initiatives and tools that promote this appreciation and continuous improvement in the work experience of its teams, through a global human purpose and skills, a new learning and development experience, mental and physical health campaigns and also various programs that promote the attraction of young talent, such as the EDP Trainee Program.
The award of this certification also reflects EDP's ongoing commitment to building an increasingly healthy, balanced and inclusive work environment, responding to new global trends and the personal and professional needs of an organization whose greatest source of energy is its people.
