In Spain, providing training and advice on matters of energy transition.
The "Renova a tua energia" Project, one of the winners of the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity (EDP Solidária) Program, aims to raise awareness, provide training and advice on matters of energy transition and efficient energy use.
Energy transition and efficient energy use
In March 2023, the EDP Foundation, the Ávila Foundation and the Santa Maria la Real Foundation presented the "Renew your energy" Project, an initiative that involves carrying out various free awareness-raising, training and advice activities on energy transition and efficient energy use, aimed at third sector organizations located in the Castilla and León region.
"Renew your energy" Program
The Program, funded by the EDP Foundation within the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity Program, encompasses the realization of:
Six seminars and workshops (online)
Taught between March and September 2023, one per month, they address topics such as energy transition, self-consumption, circular economy, carbon footprint calculation or energy poverty.
A monographic course (hybrid)
Developed between September and November 2023, over ten modules and twelve weeks, participants are explained how to face climate change, the energy crisis and, above all, how to address the energy transition in their organizations, in a sustainable way.
Participants will not only learn how to design their own sustainability strategy, but they will also learn about current legislation and get to know different measures and tools to save energy and minimize environmental impact. In addition, they receive a didactic game that allows them to consolidate their knowledge in a playful way.
The "Renew your energy" project was awarded in the 2022 edition of the EDP Solidarity (EDP Solidária) Program. This is an EDP Foundation social initiative, which aims to promote sustainable projects whose mission is to respond to social needs, promote improved quality of life and the integration of vulnerable people and groups at risk of exclusion, as well as promote employment and entrepreneurship.
