In Portugal, inspiring and training young people for the world of work.
Junior Achievement Portugal organizes the Braço Direito (Right Arm) initiative - A day in your future! every year, with the objective of inspiring and qualifying young people for the world of work, enabling them to spend a day, in a business context, with a volunteer whose profession is the one they would like to have one day. EDP participates in this initiative, activating its volunteers.
Inspire the future
EDP, founding partner of Junior Achievement Portugal, challenges several volunteers every year to contribute to the training of young people for the business world, with the initiative “Braço Direito - Um dia no teu futuro!”, which runs January to May 2022.
Operation of the initiative
The Junior Achievement Program allows students to spend a day with a volunteer who has a profession they would like to have one day, accompanying him/her in his/her workplace and getting to know the usual tasks inherent to that function.
For one day, it was possible for two worlds to intersect, opening horizons for students through contact with another reality.
Junior Achievement Portugal

Its entrepreneurship programs are aimed at children, youth and adults, from 6 to 30 years old, with the objective of inspiring and preparing children and youth to succeed in a global economy, enabling transformative experiences, based on three fundamental pillars:
- Citizenship and financial literacy;
- Education for entrepreneurship;
- Skills for employability.
