One of the most commonly debated topics regarding renewable energies revolves around grid flexibility and how to decarbonize the electrical system without jeopardizing electricity supply security.  

In August 2019, over 1 million customers in the UK saw their electricity consumption disrupted during an extreme event, triggering a discussion about the flexibility of the responses our system can provide and what we can do to prevent something similar from happening in our country.
