Concerted action is fulcral for a solution
COP27 comes again at a pivotal moment: extremely complicated geopolitics, resulting on energy, food and inflation crises, and a rapid expansion of disasters exacerbated by climate change.
Tackling climate change is one of Humanity’s most important global challenges of all times, we have a huge challenge ahead - we will need to change more in this critical decade than we ever did and we urgently need to accelerate.
Pursuing the transformations will require concerted action and deep, deliberate, long-term structural changes in resource use, infrastructure, institutions, technologies, and social relations, which have to happen in a relatively short time window.
This year UN Climate Conference will take place under the Presidency of the Government of the Republic of Egypt which has adopted the theme “Together for implementation” placing a great importance on concerted action, concrete plans and projects, and accountability for the commitments made by governments and businesses.
