    Transportation Network
A network intended to carry energy (hydrocarbons, electricity, heat, etc.) to the downstream distribution networks.
    Transportation Network
A network or system used for transmission of electricity between regions or between countries for the feeding of subsidiary networks.
    Transporter of Sterile
Mobile equipment by which the debris extracted by the excavator, short-circuiting the bench's serving system, is transported directly over the open-air holding and deposited in the heap.
    Triage (Washing)
Separation of a product to be treated according to its composition, in several materials, using its different physico-chemical characteristics.
    Triage by Grating
Triage by sieving with the aid of stacking in a flow of water under forced agitation.
    Triage by Gravity
Triage favored by density difference through sieves using gravitational force or centrifugal force, for example a cyclone, in a fluid using the gravitational field.
    Triage in Agitated Water
Sieve by stacking in a stream of pulsating water.
    Triturability
Measurement of the energy required under certain conditions to obtain fine grinding of a fuel.
    Trombe Wall
Partition of a dwelling constituted by a thick wall (40cm) of dark color placed behind a glass and that serves to capture the solar energy. The latter is transferred to the interior of the house by natural convection of the air during the day through holes in the base and at the top of the wall. During the night the wall radiates its warmth into the house.
    trustworthiness

At EDP we inspire trust, respect and guide with integrity and ethics our own behavior and our interaction with others. We focus our energy towards: having a clear understanding of the situational context; respecting others’ opinions; delivering on our promises; inspiring others by being consistent in actions and words.

    Turbinable Maximum Flow
Maximum flow that the turbine can run continuously.
    Turbines with Plumbing Systems
Turbines with a device that artificially conducts the air stream to the passing surface.
    Turbulence Factor (Linke's T factor)
Number of pure and dry assumed atmospheres that would need to be accumulated to obtain the same degree of extinguishment in the soil of direct solar radiation as that which actually occurs. Note: This factor depends on the amount of ozone, water vapor and aerosols, it also depends slightly on the height of the Sun and thus varies throughout the day (for constant atmospheric content conditions). Is an empirical, practical factor for energy applications. Its usual values are between 2 (pure sky) and 6 (polluted sky).
    Turf
Fossil sediment of vegetable origin, porous or compact, combustible, with a high water content (about 90% in the raw state), easily scratchable, light brown to dark brown.
    Turniver index (turnover)
Ratio between the average of inflows and outflows for the company's staff and the total number of employees.

Unavailability time for failure (Unavailability Time Unplanned Breakdown)
Maximum continuous power for which the installation is designed. It is usually indicated in the specifications supplied by the manufacturer and in the plate affixed to the machines. Note: In the case of gas it is also referred to as net power and corresponds to the quantity of heat actually usable in the unit of time for the nominal heat output.
    Unbound Electrical System (UES)
Designation in Portugal of the electricity system composed of unrelated producers, unrelated distributors and unrelated customers.
    Underground Exploration
Exploration of mineral deposits in which access is made through galleries or wells, from underground excavations.
    Underground Gasification (in situ)
Gasification of coal in the mine itself.
    Undulator
Installation designed to convert direct current to alternating current.
