EDP ​​Produção has a Social Investment Plan in place, designed based on the needs identified in the communities where it generates its energy. One of the shortcomings identified is the need for vehicles for community purposes, whether for social action, such as transporting people, distributing food, preventing and fighting fires or others. This need is evident from the delivery of more than 27 vehicles since 2016, worth around 295 thousand euros.

Thus, EDP Produção promotes the Program for the Allocation of Used Cars, which aims to support municipalities, local entities and social organizations in the areas where EDP Produção has its energy production assets, through the donation of used cars, with the aim of to reinforce the means available in these institutions.

Program Objectives:

• As of 2021, and in view of the numerous requests for support, the need arose to develop and structure this program to offer vehicles to local communities (municipalities, local entities and social organizations), in the areas where EDP Produção operates.
• Vehicles are assigned with the purpose of reinforcing the means available in these institutions, creating value for the community.
• With this offer, end-of-life vehicles are also profitable.

Evaluation Process

The entities are evaluated in two moments. The first step consists of checking whether the entity meets the eligibility criteria presented below. The second moment refers to a selection process where the application is evaluated in a general scope, by a jury defined by EDP Produção and the relevance of the entity and support.

Calendar

The Program is divided into the following steps:

• Application phase that will last from December 2022 to January 31, 2023;
• Analysis of the eligibility of entities and classification of applications from February 1 to March 15, 2023;
• The process of analysis and classification of applications is still ongoing. The results will be announced shortly;
• The last phase of the program consists of holding an event, which will be held between April and May 2023, and where the vehicles will be delivered to those selected.

All deadlines mentioned above, with the exception of the deadline for the application phase, should be understood as references, and may be adjusted, if circumstances so require.

Disclosure initiative and Registration form:

• This program is aimed at external audiences, more specifically municipalities, local entities and social organizations located in the area of ​​influence of EDP Produção's power generation centers and in the municipalities where they are located in mainland Portugal.
• The application for vehicles is made through an online form in order to ensure transparency and homogeneity in the process and information.
• The Allocation of Used Cars and the respective results will be disclosed in accordance with the regulation.
